Individual Therapy

Are you struggling with a major life change? Maybe you’re finding the transition into parenthood more challenging than you expected, perhaps you are going through a shift in your career or family dynamics are changing and you would like some outside support to help you navigate next steps. Whatever may be causing stress in your life, you deserve to have someone in your corner to lift you up and gently offer strategies to help you achieve your goals. Maybe you’re not sure what you need, but you would like additional support. I would be honored to accompany you in this chapter of your journey.

Think we might be a good fit? Let’s chat! Email me to schedule a free phone consultation and I am happy to answer any questions and hopefully ease your mind about starting something new. I offer both virtual (via a private zoom link) therapy and in-person therapy on Oak St. in New Orleans. I can see anyone residing in the state of Louisiana, and only provide individual therapy at this time. Seeking out support can be intimidating, you should be proud of yourself for taking this first step.

Emotional Support Animal Letters

Per the Fair Housing Act and under Louisiana Act no. 558, licensed medical/mental health providers can provide documentation that their client has a disability and indicate a need for an emotional support animal which supersedes a landlord’s pet policy. If you need assistance with an emotional support animal letter I would be happy to help with that documentation after we meet for at least three therapy sessions.

Mental Health Assessments

I have conducted mental health assessments for immigration cases in Louisiana since 2016. In a previous role, I directly trained and supervised 10 mental health professionals in conducting and writing this vital evidentiary support. I specialize in assessments for asylum claims, VAWA, U-Visas, and Hardship Waivers. My written assessments document psychological impacts of various traumatic experiences. Reports average 7 single-spaced pages, including background information, symptom screening results, clinical impressions, and recommendations for on-going needs. I have recently expanded to also offer mental health assessments for youth involved with the juvenile court system, and individuals pursuing Permanent Supportive Housing. Please send me an email to inquire about availability, pricing, and scheduling. I offer payment plans and non-profit/ sliding scale rates.

BACS Supervision

I am a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Louisiana and can provide Clinical Supervision for social workers moving toward full clinical licensure. Please email me to inquire about availability, my background, and philosophy about supervision. My next opening for clinical supervisees will be in Summer 2026.

My Approach

I believe in a client-centered approach, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am committed to providing a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can explore their concerns and work towards positive change. My intention is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, affirmed, and clear on next steps you will take toward achieving your goals.

In non-therapy speak: I aim to help you feel comfortable and at ease in our time together. You are in the driver seat, and I will gently offer suggestions to help you navigate next steps for your life. Your trust is the most important element of our partnership, and I will always consult with you about interventions that may be helpful to have your full consent. I also believe laughter can be therapeutic and may pepper in some humor where it feels appropriate.
